Towards the latter half of 2008 we began to get a glimpse of the economic crises that lay ahead both here in the UK and throughout the world. Money issues seem to be one of the biggest causes of stress and anxiety in modern society and working as an artist can be precarious – as many occupations can. These nine paintings emerged as a response to what I was seeing and feeling at that time of uncertainty.
